Spanish Subject Lead

Impact Teachers are excited to represent a Hampshire Academy, that is currently looking for a Subject Spanish Lead.

This a fantastic opportunity for current MFL teachers who are keen to take the next step. No previous experience as Head of Department or Subject Lead is required, just the willingness and motivation to further develop, as ample training and PD is offered as part of the role.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years' of experience teaching Spanish up to and including GCSE, ideally within the British system. They will be strong practitioners who have crafted their skills in teaching a foreign language.

Expectations/key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Planning and delivering lessons to a high standard in line with the curriculum for KS3 and KS4 Spanish;
  • Leading and motivating a small departmental team in delivering strong and engaging lessons to support various needs;
  • Managing and reporting on data in line with achievement and progress for students;
  • Supporting professional development for team members when needed; planned observations, PD monitoring, meetings etc.
  • Monitoring for consistency in planning, teaching and marking.

To be considered for the role of Spanish Subject Lead, all candidates must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK;
  • Recognised and relevant teaching qualifications AND experience;
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure.
