Are you a qualified SEND Teacher with strong experience of working within PMLD (Severe and Complex Needs) looking for an exciting role working in the borough of Wandsworth?
My client is an exceptional specialist SEND school in the London borough of Wandsworth. They are seeking an experienced and qualified SEND Teacher with a background of working with PMLD and severe and complex needs to teach a class of 8 students and lead a team of 8 support workers for an immediate start.
Working on a 0.6 (3 days) contract basis until the end of the academic year, you will be responsible for the learning and progress of the students in the classroom. You must be enthusiastic about working with children who have severe and complex learning difficulties, understanding of their sensory and holistic needs, and possess the keen observational ability to notice even the smallest progress among students. You will also have responsibility to ensure that the team of support workers in the classroom have the support and leadership they require.
- You must be eligible to work in the UK
- Experience working within Education in the past 2 years, with suitable references covering this.
- Experience working with children with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties particularly children who have severe, complex sensory needs
- Strong leadership skills desirable but not essential
- An Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce) registered on the Update Service
