Podcasts basically cover almost every topic you can think of. The benefit is that you can carry this library of knowledge and listen at your leisure. It comes as no surprise that the education world has developed some noteworthy podcasts that challenge education perspectives and delivers advice for new and mature professionals.

After careful consideration, we have narrowed down the gigantic list to just a few. Have a read and then a listen.

 

Teaching Podcast 1: Two Mr P’s in a Pod (cast)

This podcast is run by two brothers who have both worked in the classroom. They cover hilarious stories based on experience and also cover controversial topics.  They seek to interview all staff that support the running of the school.

These guys definitely bring a great sense of humour and in typical teaching fashion have a ‘learning objective’ for each episode:

Teaching Podcast 2: The TED Talks Education Podcast

This may need no introduction, Ted Talks have been around for a number of years. Allowing professionals, community workers and passionate people to communicate their cause and educate a wider audience about a topic close to their heart.

The Education Podcast brings together the globes best educators and leaders to deliver and share their collective wisdom and knowledge to support educators all over the world. These podcasts are extremely inspiring and worth a listen.

Teaching Podcast 3: The TES podcast

Almost all teachers in the UK will know about the TES magazine. This has been a source of valuable information about changes in policy, acknowledging education leaders, education articles and jobs.

The TES podcast covers these topics and more. What makes this podcast fantastic is that it covers current events within the education sector coupled with new strategies to improve and engage the students.

The duration ranges anywhere from 12 minutes to an hour, depending on the topic.

Teaching Podcast 5: Teacher Toolkit Podcast

Ross Morrison McGill has been supporting teachers with valuable resources through the website Teacher Toolkit. He has expanded his range of communication and has developed a podcast to further aid teachers with the help if his Teacher Toolkit team.

What makes this podcast accessible is the duration, with most being under 10 minutes. Giving you the opportunity to engage with the education landscape on your journey to work or just a quick listen during your lunch break.
